The new Transportation Center at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) was one of three projects executed by Performa to meet local industry demand. NWTC launched their Diesel Over The Road Program requiring a large high-bay workspace, and the college realized the opportunity to capitalize on the synergies between this program and the existing and disjointed Auto Collision and Auto Technology programs. Through the design process, new enhanced learning environments were conceived, allowing instructors the freedom and flexibility to quickly transition from traditional classroom learning to demonstrations in a connected lab space.

The 65,000 square foot Transportation Center has been designed with the flexibility required to host industry events with future program growth and expansion in mind. It features a High Bay Diesel Lab to maximize daylight, access to storage, and enable communication and collaboration between students and instructors. , Common areas are linked to classrooms. one large conference room, two small conference rooms, and the student lounge. The college facility is aesthetic worthy of its prominent location along Packerland Drive.
